One fifth of the way there.
In the middle of MILE FIVE of the MARATHON.
Just back to a weight that I haven't seen since last July 2011 - undoing 6 months of overeating and weight gain, finally.
I need to keep the distance yet to go in mind every day, so that I don't stop again midway on the journey and sit down on the curb to congratulate myself for my progress.
I have a tendency when I lose weight to just get it down to a comfortable weight, where my clothes start fitting decently, and say to myself, "Heck, that's good enough, I can slack off now."
Also to keep this in perspective:
My goal weight is set at the point where I just barely become a person with "normal, healthy weight", not a super-lean athletic physique. It may be lower than I've been for twenty years, but it's a healthy body weight that I want and need to keep in my sights to get back to.
